Lviv. Architecture of Modernism is the first research portal about Lviv’s underexplored architecture of interwar modernism.
We highlight the issue of preserving the interwar modernist architecture in Lviv. We are creating an extensive photo and informational database of architectural sites of the interwar period. We tell about architects and people who created, lived in, and were inspired by modernist architecture in Lviv. We also explore stories of residents, current and former, analyze contexts and realities of the interwar period, and share our findings in our publications. You’re welcome to join us in loving and exploring modernist Lviv!
Special thanks to the Center for Urban History of East Central Europe and Yuliia Bohdanova, a researcher of Lviv’s interwar modernist architecture, for inspiring and encouraging the work on this complex topic.
